Albert F. Beninati Jr became President and CEO of PQ in August 2021. Previously he was president of PQ Performance Chemicals division when he joined the company in 2019.

A respected industry veteran, Mr. Beninati brings over three decades of global leadership experience in the industrial and chemicals sectors, most recently as Business Segment President for W.R. Grace & Co.’s Specialty Catalyst business.

Prior to joining Grace in 2014, Mr. Beninati served as Vice President, Municipal Water Treatment at Univar, a leading distributor of chemicals. He also had a 22-year career in a variety of positions with Nalco Chemical Company, a global supplier of water, energy, and air improvement solutions.

Mr. Beninati began his career in the military, serving five years as an officer in the U.S. Army. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry/General Engineering from the United States Military Academy, West Point, N.Y., and is a graduate of the Kellogg School of Management Advanced Executive Program.
