Job Description

The Tactical Supply Planner coordinates product supply in the 0-3 month time window for an international network consisting of 14 plants and other facilities in the Americas.  Working closely with the Strategic Planner and Demand Manager, the Tactical Supply Planner has a key role in the Integrated Business Management (IBM) process by working closely with key stakeholders (Manufacturing, Tollers, Procurement, Logistics, Demand Planning, Marketing, and Sales) to ensure the objectives of the Supply Review, Integrated Reconciliation Review, and Management Business Review are met.   

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan monthly supply for Americas Silicates business in the tactical 0-3 month window to achieve service level, inventory, and capacity loading objectives.  Routinely communicate supply plans to stakeholders.  Use and maintain planning tools. 
  • Liase with stakeholders to ensure continuous alignment to achieve the business objectives.
  • Report on and take ownership of key supply metrics, such as production plan attainment.  Prepare routine reports on inventory, production, supply plans, and raw materials.  Be a power user of current data systems, (such as SAP, Kinaxis Rapid Response, and internal OEE data-base) to aid in new report development.
  • Address forecasted/anticipated supply gaps as well as coordinate cross-functional response to unforeseen production, raw material, and logistics events.
  • Participate & contribute to the monthly Integrated Business Management (IBM) Supply process and ad-hoc supply projects. 
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations and requirements.
  • Comply with company policies.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum B.S degree from an accredited institution in business or technical field
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word) required
  • Experience using SAP and supply planning tools (such as Kinaxis Rapid Response)
  • Supply planning experience with multi-site networks preferred
  • APICS Certification preferred
  • Flexibility and adaptability to the demands and requirements of a dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including intercultural understanding

  • Ability to understand the big picture, yet be detail oriented
