Gasil Silicas for Fabric, Vinyl and Leather Coatings

 These, and other, thin (5-10mm) coatings such as overprint varnishes have special requirements including a high level of gloss reduction (often) dead matt/flatt) and a smooth feel. Further requirements are a low effect on other film properties such as absence of crease whitening, a lack of visible particles (specks) and good colour transparancy. In order to achieve these criteria, low levels of silica are used. Suitable high-performance silicas are found in the Gasil range. Gasil silicas also prevent migration of plasticiser from vinyl coated substrates when used in an over lacquer.
