PQ offers an extensive line of commercial, merchant silica catalysts and catalyst supports. In addition, PQ has the capability to custom develop and manufacture products for you. Our custom manufactured silica catalysts and supports find use in polyolefin manufacturing, petroleum refining and petrochemical synthesis, and chemical processes.
Using our knowledge of catalyst process technology, PQ will work hand-in-hand with your company to develop, scale-up, and commercialize your silica-based catalyst. By working in partnership, we will assist you to meet your quality standards and specific performance targets.
PQ has prepared a variety of transition metals on silica, including chrome, iron, vanadium, cobalt, copper and titanium. In some cases we employ a custom formulation specified by the system designer. At other times we rely on proprietary techniques that PQ has developed.
Our custom development work has resulted in optimization of the catalyst manufacturing process and improvement of process economics for our customers. PQ is also highly active in developing custom catalysts on our own silica supports.
